I loved writing this book, and I can’t wait for you to read it, which is why I decided to move up the publishing date. I’m sure you’re going to love it as much as I do. Since it’s release day, I thought I’d share it with you.
The Enchanted Bookstore and Cafe isn’t just a setting in my book; it’s a sanctuary where my characters—and I—find solace among the sweet aroma of cinnamon lattes and the gentle rustle of book pages. As someone who’s spent countless hours nestled in its cozy corners, tapping away at my laptop, I’ve grown quite fond of this magical spot.
But as much as I’ve woven tales of witchy whodunits from this tranquil retreat, reality, as it often does, added a twist of its own. Our peaceful writing haven turned into the scene of a crime, yet again. And not just any crime, but a murder that shakes the very foundations of our little magical community.
That’s the premise of "Bizarre Love Potion”.
Our story begins when Ethan, a charming young witch and a part-time employee of the cafe, meets an untimely end right in the middle of his shift, leaving behind a spilled tray of pumpkin spice lattes and a room full of shocked onlookers. It’s this incident that catapults our protagonist Abby—much like me—from a creator of fictional mysteries to an investigator of a very real and dangerous one.
The stakes are personal. Bessie, who runs the bookstore and cafe, is more than just a character in my book; she’s family to our protagonist. And when family calls, you answer—even if it means putting your own life on the line. Abby’s intent on finding Ethan’s killer because she believes he was murdered by *gasp* a demon. Yup, you read that right.
As the mystery unfolds, so do the secrets of Holiday Hills, from love potions that stir more than just romance to ancient grudges hidden behind polite smiles. Everyone, it seems, has something to hide, but Abby will uncover the truths that lead to Ethan’s demise, just like she always does.
I just know you're going to love it!
