The bathroom's getting a glow up, and with the temperatures heating up, so am I!

Hey there, friend,

This past week we (and by we, I mean my husband) made real progress on our main floor guest bath remodel. Technically it’s a partial remodel—we already painted and swapped out the vanity a while ago. But now, he’s tackling the big stuff: replacing the bathtub, adding a shower, and tiling the whole area. I can’t wait to see it finished and finally feel like it’s ours.

On an entirely different note…

I’ve officially become that person who can’t tolerate heat and prefers to freeze everyone else. I’m the one cracking windows in January while others are wrapped in blankets. The logic? You can always add layers to warm up, but I can’t strip off my skin to cool down. Thank you, menopause.

And speaking of temperature swings, I’ve come to the conclusion that Mother Nature is definitely hormone-deficient. One day it’s 83 degrees, the next we’ve got a freeze warning. It makes sense—she’s been around forever, and she clearly needs some hormone replacement therapy. Or at least a break.

I mean, doesn’t she have any granddaughters or great-granddaughters who could take over for a bit? I’d be totally fine with a consistent 70 degrees year-round. Is that really too much to ask?

Meanwhile, my poor husband climbs into bed and freezes because I’ve got the AC cranked up. Then I wake up cold too, panic, and race to the thermostat to blast the heat. My body temperature changes by the minute. It’s psychotic. And he would 100% back me up on that.

At this point, I’ve come to believe I must be a direct descendant of Mother Nature. I mean, surely I’m not the only one dealing with this chaos?

Here’s hoping for a steady temperature somewhere—even if it’s just in my bathroom remodel.

Warm regards,

Carolyn

I don't have a photo of the bathroom pre-glow up, but at least you can see the tub in the first photo.
