Hello Friends!

Well, it’s official. We can’t leave the inside door to the screened porch open for a while. Last week we had a record pollen count in Georgia, something above 14,000. 

Yikes! 

As much as we must do to make the small yard area in our wooded lot look like a yard as well as remodel the bathroom, we just couldn’t do a thing last weekend. We spent 4 days barely moving (my husband slept a lot, which was much needed and deserved) recovering from that pollen count. I still look like someone punched me in the eyes because they’re so red and swollen. 

We finally started taking allergy meds, which neither of us want to do. I haven’t found any local honey from here just yet, but hopefully, I will soon. Not that it’s going to help now, but it’s worth a shot. The count is only in the 5,000 now, which is still high for most places but is a lot less for us. 

From what I understand, wedding planning is going strong. I get updates from my daughter (and have been doing some things for it and the shower) but the boy? 

Crickets. 

I’ve asked him a few questions recently. Here’s our conversation. 

Me: Did y’all pick out colors yet?

Him: I don’t know. 

Me: Did you pick out a mother/son dance song yet? 

Him: I don’t know. 

Me: Did you send out the save the date cards yet?

Him: I don’t know. 

In comparison my daughter could talk for an hour about the save the date cards alone (and she sent them out a while ago.) 

Boys. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I think I’m just going to show up to his wedding and not worry. I know his gal, and she’s an organizer, so I’m sure it’s all going smoothly. (I hope!)
