Hello friends!
For us, the winter storm was a bust. On the other side of the mountain in the photo below though, they got a lot of ice and snow. We got a little of each and were out and about over the weekend. We're supposed to get more snow next week, but I'm not sure it'll happen.
It was cold, and Allie needed a hat to keep her ears warm. She's getting gray around her face now. Like me, only she's cuter. She and Sam have been playing with the rope toys like she and Pony used to do. He is 20 lbs heavier than her, but she still kicks his butt at tug-o-war. She's the boss. He might just let her win sometimes, but let's keep that between us.
Can we take a moment to look at Sam's face? He's such a sweet boy. He understands now that he's home, and we're not sending him somewhere else. It took a while, but he's accustomed to our routine and can tell time just like Allie.
I just wish they would sleep past 5 AM.
I've been busy working on Mortgaged to Murder and Trusted Lies. The other day I realized I've been calling Lily's husband Dylan by Abby's husband Gabe's name. Thank God I figured that out!

Chantilly's Spirit of Suspicion blurbSweet Tea and Spiritsin Small Town Georgia
Running the Castleberry Historical Society was supposed to be a quiet gig—cataloging artifacts, planning events, and the occasional chat with a spirit from the past. But things never work out as planned. Sometimes, they wound up better.
Sometimes.
But never without issue. When an antique mirror arrives at the society, bringing with it a hostile presence, psychic medium Chantilly Adair’s job quickly turns from historical preservation to unraveling a deadly mystery.
A dead body gets her husband Jack Levitt, Castleberry’s police chief, on the case, but she knows this is one mystery that might require a little supernatural help.
As Chantilly digs deeper into the town’s tangled past, long-forgotten secrets begins to surface, and the restless spirit haunting the mirror is determined to expose it.
The only problem?
The secret is bound to stir up trouble—dangerous trouble. And if Chantilly’s not careful, the spirit of suspicion might lead her straight into a deadly trap.
Now, it’s a race against time to uncover the truth before Castleberry’s dark past catches up with her—and claims another life.
