Witches Just Want to Cast Spells

Witch cozy mystery with a talking cat and town secrets

Holiday Hills thrives on charm, magic, and a healthy dose of gossip—but someone has turned all three into a weapon.

Cozy mystery author and witch Abby Odell expects her biggest problem to be finishing her latest book. Instead, a mysterious enchanted newspaper appears overnight, printing secrets no one should know. Love charms gone wrong. Potion disasters. A scandal involving a vampire, a karaoke curse, and far too many witnesses. The Hex Herald never lies—and it never stops.

The worst part? The paper only prints gossip after someone spreads it, magically exposing the truth for the entire town to see. Half of Holiday Hills is furious, the other half is hiding, and Abby is suddenly the prime suspect behind the chaos. Cooper, her sarcastic Burmese familiar, finds the whole thing entertaining. Abby does not.

With rumors spiraling, tempers flaring, and secrets hitting dangerously close to home, Abby must uncover who is running the Hex Herald before the town implodes under the weight of its own whispered sins.
