hungry like the witch

welcome to holiday hills. Come have a cup of coffee and witch watch with the rest of the crew at the Enchanted bookstore and café.

USA TODAY Bestselling Author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson returns to Holiday Hills where cozy mystery author Abby Odell writes books and casts spells with the help of her hilarious and snarky familiar, Cooper, the cat.

Welcome to the witchy world of Holiday Hills, where the magic is as unpredictable as a frog in a potion! I’m Abby Odell, a witch who didn’t even know she had powers until her mom passed away. Talk about a surprise inheritance!

Now, let’s fast forward to the present, where I’m knee-deep in a real witchy pickle. You see, my mom was the mastermind behind the town’s annual Mum Festival, and I’m determined to keep her legacy alive. But hold on to your broomsticks because there’s trouble brewing in the cauldron!

Somebody’s gone and done the unthinkable - they’ve murdered one of the festival volunteers, and now the whole town’s in a tizzy. Talk about poor timing, too! My significant other, the town chief of police, is MIA on a secret magical assignment. I mean, seriously? This is a serious case of bad timing!

But never fear because Cooper my talking Burmese cat familiar and I are on the case! The deputy chief might not be my biggest fan, but I’m not one to back down from a challenge. And canceling the festival is not an option! The library needs those donations, and I’ll be hexed if I let anyone stand in my way.

So grab your wands, because we’ve got a mystery to solve! I’ll need all the help I can get to catch the killer and ease the fear growing in town. And who knows, maybe I’ll even unlock some of my own hidden powers along the way!
