Welcome to Holiday Hills where magic is everywhere and sometimes murder is, too.
Welcome to Holiday Hills Georgia where the coffee’s hot, and magic is on the menu!
Join good witch Abby Odell, her talking Burmese cat familiar, and her quirky cast of friends and foes in the magical town of Holiday Hills, where books, coffee, pastries, and magic are what matters most.
Something strange is happening in Holiday Hills, my cozy and quaint magical town. Magicals are out of control.
For starters witch magic is off…in a big way. Some witches can’t control their magic. Just yesterday Bessie turned a male witch customer into a six-month old baby with a pacifier in his mouth. I’m not sure who was more horrified, Bessie, or the customer. Worse yet, several witches have lost their powers completely.
Werewolves have traded their hairy and scary forms for cute and cuddly lap dogs. I’m not a fan of werewolves in their true form but dressed in doll sweaters and whining to sit on my lap is just wrong on so many levels.
Vampires have lost their umph, no longer even mildly seductive or flirtatious but bashful and cowardly. Even my arch-nemesis, she who shall not be named, is too timid to chase after my police chief boyfriend. Okay, maybe that’s not a bad thing, but it’s highly suspicious, and it’s how I realized something wasn’t right.
Am I living in an episode of the Twilight Zone? What’s going on?
When a fairy I’d run into months before shows up with a warning, things go downhill fast. It seems someone’s cast a hex over Holiday Hills. But wait, it doesn’t end there. When one of the magicals I suspect of casting that hex is found dead, I have to work overtime to catch a double-duty criminal.
