We've been working on my new office nook in the basement, and by we, I mean my incredibly talented, can-build-fix-create anything husband. Have I contributed? Yes. I did a little decluttering, sweeping, encouraging, and picking out furniture. Being the assistant is important! We've planned for this for over a year, and I'm very excited. I'm going to have a little coffee station down there too. That's my favorite part of all this. Silly, I know, since I only drink iced coffee or fun coffee drinks that have a ton of sugar and calories (and I'm off sugar, so those are out.) But once it's done, expect photos. He's so good at all these things, and though it would be done quicker if we hired someone, I trust him, and he enjoys it, so we do what he enjoys!
About a year ago I bought one of those red light masks and of course never used it, but we have been lately, and I caught my husband walking around with it, so I'm posting a photo below. He'll be thrilled to know this has go to several thousand people, but he looks hilarious.
This weekend, we'll be doing more work on the nook, and I'll be painting the two side walls. I'm not thrilled to be painting, especially with 'typing elbow'. Okay, it's tennis elbow, but I type, not play tennis, so I've changed the name. But anything I can do to help him and make it go faster works for me! What are your plans this weekend?
Carolyn
